Hosting game night or joining a room? Start here.
I want to host a game
- Get started. Open the iPhone app and choose to host. You can create your own rooms without an account or password.
- Choose a game title and categories. Configure your game in the iPhone app.
- Create and invite. Create your room and share its invitation link or QR code. Wait until everyone has joined before starting.
Your private host keys are saved only on this device. Keep your saved app data to resume your room.
I have an older browser-hosted game
You can resume an existing browser game using the same browser and device. You can finish it there, but you cannot create a new room. If you used an older host password, use the legacy login. Existing games cannot be transferred automatically into the app, and inactive rooms expire after seven days.
I've been invited to a game
- Open your invitation or scan the QR code. You can also enter the short code on the website's Join page. You don't need to install anything.
- Choose a nickname and join before the host starts the game.
- Keep your phone handy. Buzz when you know the answer, then wait for your turn.
Already have the iPhone app? Paste the invitation link into it to join. Players do not need the host password.
Troubleshooting
I lost my connection
Keep the app or browser tab open and wait for the Connected status. The iPhone app tries to reconnect when you return to it. Reopen the same room on the same device and in the same browser, keeping your saved games and reconnection data. If the room has expired, ask the host to create a new game.
I can't join after the game has started
New players cannot join after the game starts. Ask the host to gather everyone before starting the next game. A previously joined player can reconnect using saved details.
Do I need a host password?
New hosts can create rooms in the iPhone app without a password. How to host a game. Players only need an invitation link.
How many people can play? Which languages are available?
Online games support up to twelve players and two rounds. Points double in round two. The app interface and offline quiz are available in Swedish and English. Game language depends on the selected content.
I need to report a problem or an inappropriate nickname
Contact support privately. Describe what happened and include the room code and nickname if relevant. Never share host passwords or private reconnection keys. If an unwanted player has joined, the host should stop the game and create a new private room.
